In January 2002, I took a two week "writing trip" to my brother Al's cottage on Lake Superior in Michigan's upper peninsula. I didn't get as much writing done as I had hoped, but it was an amazing trip all the same. These pictures are from the shore of the lake and some of the surrounding park land.
Yeah, it was cold!
