Diets: Breakup

The Breakup Diet may not be something I invented, but I do contend that I'm the first to record it. At least on this website.

The theory behind the Breakup Diet is simple: when you get dumped, you don't feel like eating. 

The amazing thing is, as I know from personal experience, that you still get excruciatingly hungry. You just don't feel like eating.

After my last (hopefully ever) major breakup, I lost about 20 lbs, and since I was not in horrible shape to begin with, this got me down to a state of extreme buffness (of course now I'm comfortably in another relationship, which is why I'm currently on the Atkins diet). 

This leads me to believe that the lack-of-interest-in-food post-breakup phenomenon might have something to do with evolution: you get dumped, your body automatically tries to help you attract your next mate by making it easy to lose weight and get buff!

Anyway, practically speaking, I'm a proponent of the breakup diet. Heck, you're lonely and miserable, why not take advantage of the situation to lose a few pounds? Just make sure you're getting enough nutrients and water, and try to eat at least one decent, healthy meal a day. 

Your next mate will be along in no time. Trust me.
